The Olympia Fields Park District has a vacant position on the Park District Board of Commissioners. This vacancy will be filled by appointment by the remaining four Park Commissioners.

Anyone interested in the appointment to the vacancy as Park District Commissioner and meets the criteria for the position may send a letter of interest to the attention of Jesus Vargas, Interim Executive Director at 20712 Western Ave, Olympia Fields 60461. You will then be contacted by the District to schedule an interview with the board. The appointment will end after the Consolidated Election April 2, 2021.

If you are interested in running for Park District Commissioner the cook county clerk’s office will give notice of when petitions may be circulated, filed etc.

Criteria for Park Commissioner:

· You must live within the Olympia Fields Park District boundaries. There are a few areas such as Graymoor, that do not reside within the Park District.

· You must be a registered voter and have lived within the Park District for 6 months.

Park District Commissioners are not paid for their service. The Olympia Fields Park Board meetings are held the third Tuesday night of every month and meetings start at 6:00 pm. The Park Board meetings are held in The Bradford Barn at 20712 Western Ave., Olympia Fields, 60461.
