Illinois Moves to Phase 5

OFPD

llinois Moves to Phase 5

Starting Saturday, June 12, the Park District anticipates the following:

  • All unvaccinated individuals should continue wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
  • All individuals under the age of 12 that are registered for Park District programming will be required to continue wearing masks during programming, along with the coaches/leaders of those programs to set the example for the participating children.
  • All Indoor and Outdoor rentals will resume at full capacity.
  • In person and  “virtual” participants may continue to participate in group exercise classes.

These changes are based upon the information currently available; should the Illinois Department of Public Health provide additional guidelines or guidance; the Park District will apply them where necessary. The Illinois Department of Public Health will continue to track the positivity rate in our region and if the metrics don’t improve more stringent mitigations may be applied to further reduce the spread of the virus, which could include further reducing capacity on organized group recreation, fitness, or other activities as well as the temporary suspension of certain activities.
